Japanese Dessert Kabocha Pumpkin Cookie Recipe
Japanese Dessert Recipe Ingredients:
* 1/4 lb. kabocha
* 2 Tbsp butter
* 3 Tbsp sugar
* 1 egg yolk
* 2/3 cup flour
* 1/4 tsp baking powder
Japanese Dessert Recipe Instructions :
Cut kabocha into large chunks. Steam kabocha in the microwave until softened. Peel kabocha and mash in a bowl. Mix butter and sugar in another bowl. Add mashed kabocha in the bowl. Mix well. Add an egg yolk and stir well. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add the flour in the bowl. Mix the dough. Rest the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 340 degrees F. Flatten the cookie dough on floured board and cut into your favorite shapes. Place a cooking sheet in a baking pan and place shaped cookie dough on the sheet. Bake cookies in 340F oven for 15-20 minutes. The Japanese Dessert recipe makes 16 small cookies or 8 large cookies,..enjoy it !

Japanese Dessert Recipe Ingredients:
* For kanten jelly: 1 2/3 cup water / 1/2 stick kanten (agar-agar) / 6 Tbsp sugar / 1 tsp lemon juice
* For syrup: 1/4 cup water / 2/3 cup sugar / 2 Tbsp lemon juice
* For toppings: 1/3 cup anko (sweet azuki bean paste)/ a can of peaches, or oranges
JAPANESE DESSERT RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Soak kanten in water for one hour. Squeeze and tear the kanten into small pieces. Put 1 2/3 cup of water in a medium pan and put on low heat. Add kanten pieces and sugar in the pan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring well. Strain the liquid and pour in a flat container and cool to firm. Mix 1/4 cup of water and 2/3 cup sugar in a sauce pan and heat to dissolve the sugar. Add lemmon juice in the syrup and cool. Cut kanten jelly into small cubes. Serve kanten jelly and fruits in individual bowls. Pour syrup over the jelly and fruits and top with anko.

Turn down the heat to low and simmer the azuki beans for about one hour, or until softened. Drain the liquid from the pot. Add sugar and salt in the beans. Stir and simmer beans until thickened. Ingredients:
* 4 inch-thick white bread with crust edge
* 4 Tbsp butter
* 3 Tbsp honey
* 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
Instructions :
Preheat the oven to 360 degree F. Place bread, crust edge down, on a cutting board. Cut the inner bread along the crust and cut it into cubes. Spread butter on top of the bread. Put it in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve it on a plate with honey and ice cream on top. The Japanese dessert recipe of honey butter toast is ready ! Nice !

Ingredients:
* 1 Tbsp maccha (green tea powder)
* 2/3 cup granulated sugar
* 2 cups water
Instructions:
Combine granulated sugar and green tea powder in a bowl. Put 2 cups of water and the sugar mixture in a sauce pan. Heat until sugar dissolves. Soak the pan in a bowl of cold water to cool the liquid to room temperature. Pour the liquid in a freezer-safe container and put it in a freezer. Stir the sorbet every 30 minutes or one hour. Freeze until sorbet is alomost frozen. Serve into glasses. The Japanese dessert recipe is ready to serve...nice !

Japanese Shaved Ice with Green Tea Syrup and Anko
Ingredients:
* 1 tsp green tea powder
* 2 tsp granulated sugar
* 2 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
* 2 Tbsp anko
* * ice cubes or a block of ice
Insructions
Dissolve green tea powder and granulated sugar in 2 Tbsp of hot water. Cool the syrup and put in a small serving bowl. Shave ice over the green tea syrup, using a home shaved ice machine. Top with anko. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the ice. The Japanese dessert recipe is ready to serve....nice and refreshing !
